Pauline has lived in San Antonio since her college days. She and her husband raised five children and have a baby granddaughter. She taught high school math for 20 years before joining the homeschool scene. Working with homeschoolers is a joy for Mrs. Bauml, as "they are a treasure in the field of education."

Lisa Birkes
Lisa has been enjoying home schooling her two daughters for 10 years. She has lived all over the United States and in Hong Kong as well as Australia. She has taught in several co-ops as well as in Montessori schools, and public school. Lisa has been very involved with Crystal Sea Drama Co for the last 4 years. She really enjoys teaching students of all levels and abilities and is willing to adapt any curriculum for a student’s special needs.

Dian Coppin
Dian is the Mother of five children. She
started teaching in 1967, and has taught at
Seguin High School, at Rancier Junior High School in Killeen, and at Trinity Christian
Academy in Dallas. She has
written curriculum materials for ACE. She is currently
tutoring for Coppin
Tutoring Service. She has also taught writing and literature
courses for the
One Day School. Dian and her husband Anthony have been home
schooling for over
20 years.

Linda Cowan
Linda has done freelance work for the
last ten years - illustrated for Builder's Square,
produced pottery for
Raegen's Room Products, painted murals - Aerial Athletics,
and her favorite, a
limited number series for the Spurs. Since her children have
become school age,
she started focusing more on teaching opportunities. She has
been teaching
private classes for the last seven years, and working in the art
department at
St Mary's Hall.

Nora Gorhum
Nora has taught students since she was in high school. She holds a Texas Teaching Certificate
and has taught in the North East Independent School District and Pearsall ISD. While employed
by PISD, Nora also wrote curriculum guides for Art Education, PK- 12th grade. She has taught
K-5th grade and 3 years as an Art Education teacher. She has served as a substitute for Pearsall ISD.
She has also taught at Fraiser Christian Academy, FEAST and AACE. She also has taught several art
classes independently. She home schooled her 2 daughters for 12 years. She worked one summer for
Region 20 writing an activity book for learning centers in the classroom, Nora enjoys introducing
history to students and listening to their insightful discussions of both current events and historical
ones. Science has always been a favorite to share with students. She has been active with the Texas
4-H program and the Texas CattleWomen. She will begin her 7th year at AACE this year.

Beth Grasso
Beth has been teaching 'all her life' - as a tutor to elementary and secondary students in a
variety of subjects, as a Communications Instructor in the Marine Corps, as a Patient Educator,
a Registered Nurse, a Corporate Trainer, and a substitute teacher for the NISD. She has been
active in home school education for the last 11 years. Learning new things is her life-long
passion. Beth enjoys teaching because it is exciting to work with students as they learn and
grow, not only from her, but from each other. She is blessed to share her life with her husband,
Fred, and children, John and Angela. John is in the Air Force and Angela is pursuing a graduate
degree at UT.

Jennie Offield
Jennie Offield is a homeschool mom of four. She started out as a public school teacher for eight
years in San Antonio and around Texas while her husband served on church staffs. He is a pastor
and their four children have been homeschooling since 1999. Jennie also has worked with youth
groups,Women's Bible studies, Sunday school classes, Vacation Bible Schools, Young Life, Girl
Scouts, and MOPS groups as a speaker.

Hannah McMinn
Hannah McMinn (formerly Palmer) received her B.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications from Abilene
Christian University and is a Certified Personal Trainer from Cooper's Institute in Dallas. After
working in a corporate environment with Chick-fil-A as a Marketing Director at several locations and
then as a gym manager in South Carolina, Hannah has recently moved back to San Antonio to pursue a
career in fitness and in helping others find their vocation. She recently started her own business,
"1 Life Solutions" and now performs in-home personal training for her clients as well as group classes
for businesses and neighborhoods. She is also starting classes for Jr. High and High School girls to
help them discover what it means to be truly beautiful and what it means to be a woman in today's society.

Trudy Palmer
Trudy has a burden for
children and believes anyone can read and read well. She has much experience
working
with the language and learning disabled as she has worked with students
labeled dyslexic, ADD, hyperactive,
language disabled, hearing and speech
impaired, handicapped, and those with language processing differences.
Her
program is currently used by many homeschoolers throughout this nation and Canada. In addition, numerous
private and public educators (including speech therapists and
special education teachers) have chosen to use
her program.

Marla Ripps
Marla has always loved teaching and has
taught many varied subjects over the years, including
but not limited to
sewing, quilting, college workshops, and chemistry. She volunteered and worked
at FEAST for the past 12 years in which she was instrumental in starting and
running their co-op
until the summer of 2004. She and Irene Miller have heard a
calling from the Lord and have started
Crystal Sea Drama Company, a Christian
school for Theater Arts and Performance.

Pat Valdez
Pat taught for 6 years at South San High School here in San Antonio. In addition, she has taught at
Ramses Charter School, Magnolia Christian School, Bethesda Christian Institute, CLEAR, ENNACT,
St. Joseph's, FEAST, SALaude, Summit Academy, Life Shine and San Antonio Academy. She has served as
4-H moderator, Exploravision moderator, as well as serving as the Vacation Bible School Director and
Sunday School Director for New Life Ministries of San Antonio. She presently attends Grace Point Church.
